I have been practicing yoga intermittently for close to 20 years.
Six years ago I decided to embark on Teacher Training and now teaching is my life. Being able to
facilitate personal experience and exploration and share the benefits that Yoga has to offer is a gift.
Teaching Yin, restore, slow flow and flow, (all Hatha Yoga) allows me to be creative with sequencing, themes relevant to my life as well as students experiences. Teaching to all levels from beginners to intermediate enables me to encourage and support my students, and throw in a challenge sometimes as well!
Using breath (pranayama), asana (physical postures) and mindfulness (Dharana) to connect the practitioner to their essence will benefit their mind, body and spirit. From relaxation, to focus and meditation, the benefits of yoga continue to be the gift that just keeps on giving.

Presentation Title: YID! at the 2018 Ashkenaz Festival, Toronto (supported by Creative Victoria).
The brainchild of Melbourne musician Simon Starr (Frock, NLT, Joe Camilleri, Suze De Marche, Ian Moss), 22-piece musical behemoth YID! is an extraordinary collective of virtuoso musicians including Willy Zygier, Adam Starr, Husky Gawenda & Gideon Preiss (Husky, The Bashevis Singers), Tomi Kalinski, Alex Burkoy (Tinpan Orange), Josh Abrahams (Puretone) and David Haberfeld (Honeysmack) that takes you on a joyous, spiky, edgy and ferociously danceable trip into their Jewish musical roots.
The recipe for YID! is mesmerising. They take centuries-old Yiddish drinking songs, throw them in the pot with the sounds of Duke Ellington’s 1930s big band sound, add a dash of 1960s free jazz, a dose of late 1970s New York avant-garde funk, a sprinkling of 21st century electronica and a hint of sweet indie-folk pop.
The result is a daring new fusion of tribal beats, improvised riffs and angelic indie vocals, channelling the sweet tunes of the long-gone Shtetl.
After a ground-shaking performance at WOMADelaide and a headline appearance at Toronto’s Ashkenaz Festival, the band launched their début album, Space Klezmer.
Co-presented by Kadimah Jewish Cultural Centre, the launch featured the full 22-piece band, including an eight-piece horn section, a six-piece rhythm section, a two-piece electronica section, Husky Gawenda and Gideon Preiss singing out the front, supported by the three Zygier sisters, and Tomi Kalinski providing spoken word narration which frames the music while extrapolating on the lyrical themes.
The 20+ players in YID! are among the most credentialled in the Australian jazz scene, each leaders of their own projects. They include Julien Wilson, Tony Hicks, Lachlan Davidson, Stephen Grant, Audrey Powne, Reuben Lewis, Jordan Murray, Niko Schauble and Ariel Valent.

Vivienne has 26 years’ experience in the Wellness Sphere, having worked in just about everything and every area including creche, but now sticks with her strengths as a clinical nutritionist, group fitness instructor, Yoga and Pilates teacher.
She has a real zest for life and helping add more life to your years, rather than the other way round. Her mantra is she is getting older as she gets younger, and invites you to try that mantra for yourself, especially if you are ‘ahem’ a fraction over 25.
The class she has especially selected for you is one that will certainly challenge fitness levels, but at the same time it is suitable for all, from the unfit to the super fit.
So relax, enjoy, have fun and get sweaty!
